Waterfront Outdoor Plaza Improvements

The Port of Bandon in partnership with Travel Oregon and the Destination Ready Program Grant, were able to enhance the amphitheater seating area by placing permanent raised seating inside the amphitheater area and 4 modular benches providing extra seating and wind block protection to the riverfront boardwalk area. This project advances preliminary outdoor seating designs completed last year to provide COVID-19 appropriate support to local businesses, visitors, and the community. This project will enhance the use of our amphitheater for cultural events, and incorporates art into the bench designs. This windy and scenic location provides a very COVID-19 appropriate environment for outdoor seating. Numerous restaurants within close walking distance provide take-out food options for visitors, who will utilize the benches for eating and relaxing. The amphitheater is located at the west end of the boardwalk located on 1st St in Bandon.
